We need you to help our community
Food insecurity is one of the biggest problems we have here in Los Angeles. About 2 million Los Angelenos experience food insecurity which means about 1 out of every 5 people do not know where their next meal is coming from. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the situation as thousands have lost their jobs and income, and many seniors are unable to access grocery stores due to safety concerns.

Hello everybody my name is Nakia Cornish, I am the CEO and founder of Thekeytothestreets.org, a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit organization that helps low to moderate-income families access a better life. The Key to the Streets provides is basically a resource center for inner-city families. We offer several programs and services - such as workforce development including job posting to help unemployed members find a job. Transportation services and food distribution. We need this truck so that we can receive food from our wholesalers to feed families, seniors, and those who are homeless. This truck will also allow us to transport food to other Food distributor partners. With this truck I will no longer have to store food in my house and tiny car. These funds are needed as soon as possible to benefit the community. COVID-19 has left a lot of families without the resources they need. This will be a tremendous help to me to help many people. I am very grateful for your time in reading this. If you want to see my progress and how my organization runs you can follow us @thekeytothestreets on instagram.
